Posted: February 27, 2024: This is a reminder that nominations for the Africa Evidence Leadership Award (AELA) 2024 close on Friday, 1 March 2024. The Africa Evidence Leadership Award was launched in 2018 with the aim to honor and celebrate exceptional leaders in the African evidence-informed decision-making (EIDM) ecosystem. This year look out for our new category for emerging leaders under 35 years.
The award has four different categories, each with its own runner-up. The categories are: 1) Producers of evidence, 2), Evidence mediators (knowledge brokers or knowledge translators), 3) Evidence users and 4) Emerging leader. Winners will receive:
- The opportunity to deliver a keynote address/participate in a panel discussion about their work at the upcoming biennial EVIDENCE event
- Up to USD500 grant contribution towards their participation in a high-profile course or event of your choice on EIDM
- Participate in the online Africa Evidence Week 2024.
- A token of recognition presented at the upcoming in-person biennial EVIDENCE event.
